IDREO Rebreather Explorer
This training is designed to provide technical divers and cave divers with the experience of utilizing rebreather technology in all types of diving environments.
Intensive skill mastery and actual experiential learning are the foundations of this program. This is achieved by providing comprehensive information, utilizing the most up-to-date procedures, and applying sound techniques for the safe use of rebreathers in all of their efficiency modes (SCR, PSCR, aPSCR, mCCR en eCCR).
The IDREO 'Rebreather Explorer' certification is performance-based and is divided into 2 certification levels: 'Rebreather Explorer Level 1' and 'Rebreather Explorer Level 2'. Additionally, the use of each type of rebreather (SCR, PSCR, aPSCR, mCCR en eCCR) can be learned separately. This allows each student to learn the theoretical knowledge and practical skills at their own pace and in their own way.
During the training, the following topics will be covered:
- Explanation of all types of rebreathers;
- Problem-solving;
- Dive accident analysis;
- Nitrox and trimix;
- Single gas injection management;
- Multiple gas injection management;
- Rebreather decompression procedures;
- Advanced gas management and planning;
- The use of a 'stage';
- Sidemount rebreathers;
- Bailout rebreathers;
- Decompression techniques;
- Decompression rebreathers.
