IDREO Recreative Explorer

This program is designed for beginner to experienced recreational divers who wish to improve their knowledge and gain more experience in applying advanced basic diving techniques.
Intensive skill mastery and actual experience building are the foundations of this program.
This course provides theoretical and practical information on the most commonly used procedures and techniques necessary for recreational exploration diving.

The IDREO 'Recreative Explorer' training is performance-oriented and is divided into 2 certification levels: 'Recreative Explorer Level 1' and 'Recreative Explorer Level 2'. This way, each course participant can learn theoretical knowledge and practical skills at their own pace.

During the training, the following topics are covered:

  • Trim and propulsion techniques;
  • Buoyancy management;
  • DIR configuration;
  • Training programs;
  • Helitrox diving up to a maximum depth of 45 meters.

Recreative Explorer, level 1

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age 16 years;
  • Demonstrable swimming skills;
  • Approved medical examination;
  • Signed 'Declaration of Understanding';
  • Possession of the diving certification 'Recreatie Diver, Level 2'.

Authorized to:

Upon obtaining this certification, the diver is allowed to conduct non-decompression dives with diving equipment to a maximum depth of 36 meters, using a bottom gas containing between 21% and 32% oxygen.

Recreative Explorer, level 2

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age 18 years;
  • Demonstrable swimming skills;
  • Approved medical examination;
  • Signed 'Declaration of Understanding';
  • In possession of the IDREO certification "Recreative Explorer, Level 1" or an equivalent certification.

Authorized to:

Upon obtaining this certification, the diver is allowed to conduct decompression dives with diving equipment to a maximum depth of 45 meters, using a bottom gas containing between 21% and 50% oxygen and helium, and a decompression gas containing up to 50% oxygen and helium.
